COWTOWN SMUGGLERS

Cowtown Smugglers, the fifth book in the Nathan Wolf series: Contraband crossing our Southern border has been around as the U.S. and Mexican governments began taxing the commerce between the two countries. Refusal to pay these taxes gave rise to smuggling by criminal elements and became a very lucrative enterprise. When a small piece of this smuggling endeavor reaches Decatur, Texas, U.S. Marshal Nathan Wolf is brought reluctantly into a search for smuggling connections between Fort Worth, Texas, and the border, an assignment forced upon him by his boss in Fort Worth. Ben Steele, Wolf’s Texas Ranger friend, is also enlisted to assist Wolf. But, from the beginning of the assignment, which takes the two lawmen to the border city of Laredo, Texas, Wolf and Steele are marked for death, and it takes everything the two men can do to stay alive and solve the mystery of who is trying to have them killed.
